ANITHA VADAVATHA, Co-Founder, URCuBes Network

Anitha is the Director of India China America (ICA) Institute, where she assists with developing the Institutes academic, business, industry and research programs along with establishing it’s strategic initiatives. She is also a Management consultant providing strategy services to clients. In the US, Anitha’s professional experience includes working as a Management Consultant with the Financial Services practice of BearingPoint Inc.(former KPMG Consulting), consulting for Fortune 100 clients in banking and capital markets; state and federal government; and as a Six Sigma & Lean Blackbelt with GE Commercial Distribution Finance (GE Capital group). In India, she held various roles in Operations, Marketing, HR and Product/Program management with Intelligroup Asia Pvt. Ltd, and CySphere (now Partygaming). Currently, Anitha is also pursuing entrepreneurial opportunities and is a founder of i-Futures, a start-up focused on the STEM field and a co-founder of URCuBes Network, focused on tracking the movement of urbanization. Anitha received her Bachelor of Commerce degree and Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing and Advertising from the Osmania University in India. Additionally she completed executive and professional certificate programs including a program in International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management; Global Growth Entrepreneurship from the Indian School of Business (ISB); and formal training in Six Sigma and Lean methodologies. Anitha serves as the Chairwoman of Young Leaders at the World Affairs Council of Atlanta.

 

MOHUA THAKURTA, Co-Founder, URCuBes Network

Mohua Thakurta is a producer, filmmaker and a teacher with a global perspective, with experience in India and the USA. Mohua has been part of the media industry for over six years. When not teaching or researching, she works on video productions, which can range from films and documentaries to short projects. Over the years working on big budget movies and short projects she has realized that she really enjoys being a freelancer. Prior to being an independent video producer, Mohua had the opportunity to work on big budget movies with directors like Gurinder Chadda. She spent several years in Mumbai and Atlanta working on projects as a director, editor, and producer. Her work includes producing videos for companies like techbridge, Georgia Aquarium, Sony Television (India). Mohuas documentary titled x and y which deals with gender stereotypes won the 2nd position in UFVA free speech festival. During her career Mohua had the opportunity to experience a wide gamut of video productions and filmmaking projects. She honed her skills to take up projects that require conception to finalization. As a creative individual, she really looks forward to undertake projects that drive her passion. Mohua has a MFA in communications from Georgia State University. She is in the process of starting a media group where creative individuals can network and exchange ideas.
