SYNOPSIS
UnIncorporated is a timely documentary series about the ever growing pressures of urbanization and how the MSME (a community of mom and pop businesses) sector is finding inventive ways to stay relevant and create opportunities to survive in this transitioning society. The story is a journey made by Anitha and Mohua, Indian transplants settled in the US, going back to capture this environment through the lens of 3 key players, Suleman, Abdul and Bina Rao. Suleman, a seasoned bangle maker, Abdul who runs a family owned business, & Bina, a new age entrepreneur, all of them adapting to this dynamic marketplace. As the Indian economy witnesses tremendous economic growth, the filmmakers’ onscreen analysis intercuts with the stark on-ground realities of this micropreneur community.
